Homeless

Jesus himself was a homeless person. He probably could have returned to his home with Mary and the rest of his family at any time, but he himself says that he had no place to lay his head.

We have been feeling similarly for the past three months and anticipate that to continue for a while yet. Sure, we've had plenty of places to sleep, but no one home in particular.

Transition has been difficult at times, but we have also seen incredible generosity. So many people have welcomed us into their homes, sharing beds and meals and conversations with us.

And we have been reminded that things on this earth are temporary. Earth by its very nature is transitional because our citizenship is in heaven. We can't wait to get Home.

(Philippians 3:20-21 -- "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.")

We pray that this experience helps us to be open-handed with what we have, that we will be able to share with others who do not have things that we take for granted.

New Prayer Card

Here is our prayer card that was just finished. We will be making a Wal-Mart run and getting some hard copies made that will become available to many of you. Thanks again and God bless. Another update will soon be on its way.
